Cookie Policy
Last updated: 26 October 2026
This policy explains how YACHTS.CO INTERNATIONAL LTD uses cookies and similar technologies on this website. For how we handle personal data more generally, see our Privacy Policy.
Your choice
We only set cookies that aren’t strictly necessary — for analytics and marketing — if you opt in. Nothing optional is pre-selected, and you can change your mind at any time using “Cookie settings” at the foot of every page.
Strictly necessary
These make the website work and don’t need consent.
- yc_consent (cookie, 6 months) — remembers your cookie choice.
- yc_saved and yc_compare (browser storage, until you clear them) — the boats you save or add to compare. They stay on your device and are only sent to us if you ask us to email you the list.
- yc_engines (browser storage, until you close the tab) — the outboard engines you add to compare on our Engines pages. It stays on your device.
- yc_theme, yc_view, yc_hero and yc_units (browser storage, until you clear them) — remember settings you choose: light or dark appearance, list or grid view of boats, whether background videos (on the homepage, New Boat pages and the Boat Builder) are paused, and whether boat lengths show in feet or metres.
- yc_archive_photos (browser storage, until you clear it) — the sold or no-longer-available boats whose photos you've asked to see, so they stay open for you. It stays on your device.
- yc_save_search (browser storage, until you close the tab) — remembers that we've already offered to save your search on Boats for sale, so we only ask once a visit.
- yc_staff, yc_admin_*, yc_listing_draft, yc_listing_photos and yc_errors (browser storage, staff devices only) — used by our own team’s tools when they are signed in; never set for visitors.
Analytics (optional)
Used only if you allow analytics cookies, to understand how the website is used so we can improve it.
- _ga, _ga_* (Google Analytics, up to 2 years) — distinguish visitors and sessions.
Marketing (optional)
Used only if you allow marketing cookies, so that if you get in touch our team can see which boats you were looking at.
- hubspotutk (HubSpot, 6 months) — recognises your browser from one visit to the next.
- __hstc (HubSpot, 6 months), __hssc (30 minutes), __hssrc (session) — count visits and sessions.
- _gcl_au, _gcl_aw (Google Ads, 90 days) — tell Google Ads when someone who clicked one of our ads sends an enquiry or calls us.
- yc_source (our website, this visit only, kept in your browser’s session storage) — remembers how you reached us, so it can go with your enquiry.
Counting without cookies
Our website also counts how often each boat is shown, opened, saved and enquired about. This uses no cookies and no personal data, so it isn’t affected by your choices above.

If you follow a link to WhatsApp or another website, that site’s own cookie and privacy policies apply.
