The Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 490
The flagship of the Sun Odyssey range, a 49-foot cruiser that is spacious inside and stable, quick and safe offshore.
The forward cabin on the Sun Odyssey 490 is a proper owner’s suite, with a berth of 1.60 by 2 metres, lots of storage, a hanging locker, built-in bookshelves with a television and private access to a bathroom with a separate shower, sink and toilet. It’s bright, well ventilated and soundproofed. The saloon is spacious, the galley is fully equipped, and you can add one or two more cabins.
The cockpit is well protected under way, and at anchor it becomes a relaxing space with a sundeck, a wide swim platform and options like a cooler and bottle holder. It’s also a proud cruiser for longer passages: stable, high-performing and safe. It’s responsive and easy to handle despite its size, helped by a bow thruster fitted aft.
