Delphia 10 Sedan

The Delphia 10 Sedan is a 10-metre motor cruiser built for slow, comfortable cruising. For its size the hull gives a lot of room: two proper cabins, a roomy saloon and a particularly large bathroom. Delphia is part of the Beneteau Group, and the finish shows it.

On deck

The aft cockpit has a U-shaped bench that opens out towards the water, a good place for lunch or a lazy afternoon. Wide, matching side decks run the length of the boat, there’s a large swim platform with a transom hatch, and a sliding side door at the helm makes it easier to step out for lines when mooring. Fenders and lines have their own storage, so the cockpit stays clear.

The hardtop carries built-in solar panels that help power the boat’s equipment, so you can stay out longer between marinas. Its low air draught lets it pass under low bridges, which opens up rivers and canals that taller boats can’t reach.

Below deck

The saloon is surrounded by vertical windows, giving a view all the way round. The galley has plenty of storage and a fridge, and runs straight through to the cockpit, so cooking, eating and sitting out all happen in one space.

You can choose one or two cabins. The forward cabin has a double that converts to two singles; in the two-cabin version the guest cabin also has a double, and in the one-cabin version that space becomes an office or utility area. The bathroom has a separate shower, which is unusual on a boat this size.

Under way

There are two ways to power it: a quiet, fully electric drive with no fumes or vibration, or an inboard diesel for longer trips, cruising comfortably at around 7 to 9 knots. Its displacement hull is steady at low speed, and the helm’s tall windows give a clear view, so it’s easy to handle on rivers and canals, even for newer skippers.
