Jeanneau Cap Camarat 5.5 CC

A 5.48 m open centre-console powerboat from Jeanneau, no longer built, for up to 6 people who want to waterski, fish or potter along the coast.

If waterskiing is high on your list, the Cap Camarat 5.5 CC was built with it in mind. Jeanneau gave her a robust, tapered V-shaped hull that planes very efficiently, and at 5.48 m overall she's a manageable size for towing a skier on a day out.

She's a previous model, so Jeanneau doesn't make her any more. The styling came from Garroni Designers, who put a lot of thought into the ergonomics and added a good number of functional details around the boat.

The whole deck is open, with a modern steering console in the centre. That layout works well for fishing, since you can get to either side easily, and it's just as comfortable for cruising with up to 6 aboard. Draught is only 0.3 m.

Jeanneau fitted her out with safety in mind from new. The instrument panel and the upholstery were both of a high quality, and they were two of the things owners tended to like most about her.
