Jeanneau Sun Fast 32

A 9.5 m Philippe Briand cruiser from Jeanneau's past range, with a traditional teak and Makore interior, suited to sailors who want a responsive, comfortable boat.

Jeanneau stopped building the Sun Fast 32 some time ago, so any you'll find now are on the second-hand market. Philippe Briand drew her, and she's 9.5 m overall with a draught of 1.45 m.

Her beam is generous, and the hull shape works well all the way from bow to stern. That gives her an even, balanced feel and lets her slip along without fuss.

On the helm she's quick to respond and will come round in a tight space. When the sea gets up she handles it well, which makes her a comfortable boat to sail in rougher weather.

Down below, the look is traditional: a teak sole underfoot and varnished Makore joinery throughout. The saloon has plenty of room and follows classic boatbuilding style, yet the design doesn't feel dated.

Tankage is 45 l of fuel and 160 l of fresh water.
