Obsolete model · Sun Odyssey

A previous-model Jeanneau cruising yacht of 10.34 m, easy to handle and well suited to families, experienced sailors and keen beginners.
The Sun Odyssey 349 was one of the most successful boats in Jeanneau's Sun Odyssey range, and although she's no longer built, she remains a popular choice. She's responsive at the helm and easy to handle, so she suits experienced sailors and motivated beginners alike, for coastal family cruising or first longer passages.
She was designed for cruising, but performance wasn't sacrificed for comfort and safety. The high cockpit coaming is reassuring if you sail with children, and it stays comfortable to sit against when she's heeled. The winged shoal keel lets you get into shallower water while still giving good lift and keeping drag down. Her wide hull and well-arranged sail controls also help make her easy to sail.
Down below, the layout adapts to how you're using the boat, with a removable seat and a retractable chart table. There's good headroom in the saloon, which is a pleasant place to gather at the end of the day. Owners could choose three proper double cabins, or two cabins with a storage space instead, which is handy for longer trips.
The design came from Marc Lombard Yacht Design Group working with Jeanneau design. She's 10.34 m overall with a hull length of 9.97 m, a beam of 3.44 m and a draught of 1.98 m. She carries 130 l of fuel and either 206 l or 206 + 336 l of fresh water, depending on the version.
