A Philippe Briand designed cruising yacht, no longer built, with a hard-chined hull and good stability, suited to owners who enjoy sailing well.
The Sun Odyssey 409 is a previous Jeanneau model, designed by Philippe Briand and no longer in production.
She was drawn with sharp lines and fine detailing, but looks weren't the whole brief. Briand gave her a modern hull with a hard chine, built with speed in mind.
That hull also gives her excellent stability, which is a large part of why she's such a pleasure to sail.
