Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 42.2

A 12.80 metre Jeanneau cruiser, no longer in production, built for bluewater sailing with a roomy interior and 3 or 4 cabins, suiting crews who want comfort at sea.

The Sun Odyssey 42.2 is a previous Jeanneau model, no longer built, and she's notably spacious for a yacht of 12.80 metres. Jeanneau designed her to be simple to sail and stable, with a hull shaped to cope with a range of conditions, and at the time she was an important step in the yard's line of fast passagemakers.

She was drawn with ocean sailing in mind, but she's just as comfortable at anchor. The saloon is bright and warm, with well-finished materials throughout, and the layout comes with either 3 or 4 cabins.

The hull is 12.3 m long, with a 2 m draught. She carries 175 litres of fuel and 440 litres of fresh water, which is a useful amount for longer passages, and she's rated for a maximum of 8 people.
