Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 439
The Sun Odyssey 439 is a previous Jeanneau model, a quick, seaworthy cruiser with an easy deck plan, suited to couples and families who want to sail rather than motor.
The Sun Odyssey 439 is one of Jeanneau's earlier models and is no longer built, but you'll recognise her as a Sun Odyssey straight away. She follows the design direction that began with the Sun Odyssey 409, with a hard chine on the hull, plenty of hatches and windows, and bevelled edges on the deck. Philippe Briand drew her, and the result is a strong, straightforward shape.
There's more to her than looks. The deck plan was laid out to make sailing easy, and that matters on a boat built first and foremost for sailing. Jeanneau worked to three aims with her: a fast, seaworthy hull, deck and sail plans that are simple to handle, and a well-finished interior.
She's 13.34 m overall, with a hull length of 12.99 m, a beam of 4.24 m and a draught of 2.2 m. She carries 200 l of fuel and 330 l of fresh water, and she was offered with 2, 3 or 4 cabins, so you'll find layouts to suit a couple or a larger crew.
