Jeanneau has announced that several of its boats have been shortlisted for some of the most closely watched awards in European boating this season. Four powerboats are in contention across the European Powerboat of the Year and the 2026 Best Of Boats awards, while the new Sun Odyssey 455 sailing yacht has picked up nominations both for European Yacht of the Year 2027 and at the British Yachting Awards.

On the power side, the headline nomination goes to the Cap Camarat 6.0 CC, which Jeanneau says is in the running for European Powerboat of the Year 2026. The boat is a complete redesign of a familiar model rather than a light refresh, and she made her world debut at the La Rochelle Boat Show. Jeanneau describes a more modern hull, updated styling and a modular layout intended to suit a wide range of owners.

For buyers, the appeal is easy to see. At around six metres, the Cap Camarat 6.0 CC is a centre console that is straightforward to run and to trail, with a 115 hp engine fitted as standard. That combination makes her a sensible choice for families and newcomers who want a capable day boat without the commitments of a permanent berth.

Jeanneau also reports that three of its models have reached the finals of the 2026 Best Of Boats awards, each in a different category, which the builder sees as a sign of the breadth of its current range.

Under sail, attention has centred on the Sun Odyssey 455. Jeanneau says the new 45-foot cruiser has been nominated for European Yacht of the Year 2027, and across the Channel she is also shortlisted in the Cruising Yacht of the Year category of the British Yachting Awards. Jeanneau points to her contemporary hull, a deck arranged with ease of use in mind and a bright, generous saloon below. She is offered with a choice of four interior layouts, so owners can tailor her to family cruising, charter or long passages with a smaller crew.

Award nominations do not decide whether a boat is right for you, but they are a useful indicator. Juries in these competitions typically sail or drive the boats and compare them directly with their rivals, so a shortlisting suggests the design has held up well under independent scrutiny. A strong showing can also help a model's reputation, and with it resale value, in years to come.

The results will arrive over the coming months. Best Of Boats winners are due to be revealed at the Berlin Boat Show on 26 November 2026, while the European Powerboat and European Yacht of the Year winners will be named at the Düsseldorf Boat Show on 23 January 2027. The British Yachting Awards results will appear in the January edition of Sailing Today with Yachts & Yachting. Jeanneau says its whole team is proud of the recognition for the design work behind its ranges.
